CUYAHOGA FALLS - Nora Fay Harlin, 61, passed away April 5, 2008 after winning a two-year battle with cancer.
Mrs. Harlin was born in Akron and had lived the past ten years in Stow moving there from Cuyahoga Falls. She had been employed at AVI Food Services, was a Life Member of the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 and a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Eagles, where she was voted Mother Of The Year. She was active in PTA and bowled at North Lanes. Nora was the greatest fighter that the family knew having won a two year battle with cancer only to succumb to complications. She treasured being a wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Never meeting a stranger and anyone who met her never forgot her.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Kerr, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, James; children, Tamie (Darrell) Digman of Cuyahoga Falls, Harry "Tom" (Julia) Harlin of Stow, Tawni (Greg) Sigelmier of Green, James "Jamie" (Renee) Harlin of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jake (Joanna) Digman, Kasie Harlin, Graem Sigelmier, Magdalene Harlin, Gage Sigelmier, Abbigayle Harlin; brothers and sisters, William (Leslie) Kerr, Jr. of CA, Marla Kerr of Alliance, Melissa (Bill) Steede of Sebring and Robert (Lindy) Kerr of IL, and step-mother, Marilyn Kerr of Alliance.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the nurses and staff at Akron City Hospital 7 East for all their compassion and care.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Ronald Drumm officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
