Odell Ann “Odie” (Branham) Marks
As the family was hoping to bring Odell home, God had another plan.  It was time for her to move to her heavenly home.  Odell’s spirit was ushered to her new home at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday January 13, 2019. We lost our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Odell was born in Pikeville Kentucky on Nov 10, 1952 and lived most of her life in the Norton/Barberton area.  She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age.  She graduated from Barberton High school, class of 1971.  She worked at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Advertising Ideas and Lawson’s. She was currently retired and travelled with her husband Mike on his job as a truck driver.

Odell was honest, kind and enjoyed traveling the states with her husband Mike.  She enjoyed sun rises and sun sets, palm trees, water towers, cats, turtles, Odie, Betty Boop, windmills and the Smoky Mountains.  She feared the movie Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte.

Preceded in death by her mother Irene Branham, her father Odes Branham, her sister Brenda Hall, and her past husband John Layton.

Odell is survived by her husband Michael Marks; her sisters LouCinda Garrett (Tom), Carolyn (Bill) Strawbridge and Darcus Branham; her daughters Carey (Edward) Suber and Beth Layton; grandchildren Alicia Layton, Terrell Grant, Jordan Layton, William Howell, Edward Suber IV, Samuel Suber and Faith Whitford; her great-grandchildren Skylar, Legend, Lyndon and Leilani and a host of family and friends.

Odell Marks’ family will receive friends on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 1-3 at Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Arrangements entrusted to Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home & Crematory, 330-928-2147.

Fly away to a place where pain and suffering are no more.
A place where there will be angels waiting at the door.
The fight here on earth is over.
And you have done your very best.
So close your eyes now.
We know you need your rest.
You will forever live in our hearts.
And your light will always shine bright.
For we know this is not goodbye.
It is only goodnight.
