Ollie Amundsen

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ollie Lea Amundsen, 99, passed away July 14, 2016. She was born in Matewan, WV and resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Ollie began her teaching career in West Virginia before moving to Akron. She continued her teaching career at Firestone Park, moving on to teach 3rd grade at Sill School, then 1st grade at Elizabeth Price Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls for the last 15 years of her career. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her son, Stephen Lewis and husband, Clifton of 50 years; she is survived by her daughter, Ellie O'Day of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Nicole O'Day, Danielle Harner, Heather Marie; and 9 Great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park 3653 W. Market St. Akron, OH, 44333. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
