Silver Lake - Orval R Hoover, 76, passed away November 16, 2006. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Jean Hoover in 2004.
He and Bonnie graduated together from Ellet High school class of 1948. They worked their way through college and law school, Orval as a tire builder at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Bonnie as a nurse. He graduated from the University of Akron and Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
He served his country in the United States Army as a Paratrooper. He was elected as a City of Cuyahoga Falls Councilman, later served as law director for Cuyahoga Falls, Twinsburg, and Macedonia, Special Prosecutor for Summit County, and Special Counsel to the Attorney General. He and his wife have four children, Dean (Dana) of Hudson, Kim (Cheryl) of Cuyahoga Falls, Jeff (Linda) of Middebourne, West Virginia, and Becky of Bath. He is survived by his brother Richard of Akron and his children and also leaves 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His mother, Mildred, passed away November 10, 2006 at the age of 95.
He and Bonnie devoted their lives to each other, to their family, and to their community. The family feels blessed that they are together again. A private family memorial service will be held.
