CUYAHOGA FALLS - Patrick J. Kenna 72 passed away December 25, 2009.
Mr. Kenna was born in Akron and graduated from Akron Central High School. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving his country for 23 years in Korea and Vietnam. He then returned to Cuyahoga Falls and worked for H & M Metal Processing. He was a member of VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062, American Legion Charles Faust Post 281, the Cuyahoga Falls Eagles and numerous other clubs and organizations. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.
Preceded in death by his parents Martin and Elizabeth Kenna and brother-in-law Frank Gearhart, he is survived by his wife Joann (Tucker); children, Angela Klingfus, Patrick (Debbie) Kenna, Kate (Barrett) Scott, Margaret (Bob) Mobley and Anna Kenna; brothers, John (Jane) and Richard (Vickie); sisters, Mercedes (Walt) Whatmough, Elizabeth Gearhart, and Margaret (Dale) Brigger; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, Deacon Robert Kochanski officiating. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Military Honors by VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333-6118 in his memory.
