Paul Barr

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Paul J. Barr, 65 passed away January 24, 2009.
Mr. Barr was born in Akron, raised in Cuyahoga Falls, graduated from Hoban High School in 1961 and served in the US Navy. He retired as Vice President of McKesson and Robbins Pharmaceutical and returned to Cuyahoga Falls after having resided in Canton. He was an avid golfer and a 37 year faithful member of AA.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Bernie) Gehlmann of Columbus and Tracy (Daniel) Hammer of Uniontown; grandchildren, Noah, Andrew, Ryan and Kyle; sisters, Margie Barr of CA, Polly (George) Pirri of OH, Mary Jo (Duane) Schafer of WA, Phyllis (Jim) Dolan of MA, Therese (Charlie) Smith of CO, Helen Lange of OH, Elizabeth (Carl) Buck of OH, Martha (Rusty) Hudak of OH; brothers, Peter (Karen) Barr of OH, Joseph (Jane) Barr of CA and John (Robin) Barr of OH; many nieces and nephews; special friend Colleen Hoch and his cats Roy, Tiger and Fay.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1903 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Memorials may be made to Interval Brotherhood Home, 3445 S Main St, Akron, OH 44319 in his memory.
