SILVER LAKE - Paul Gangl Sr., 87, passed away peacefully August 18, 2010. He was born in Hungary and has resided in Silver Lake for over 50 years formerly living in Akron. Mr. Gangl was a self-employed mason, had built two beautiful homes for his family in Silver Lake and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; son, Paul Michael Gangl, II of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Elizabeth Eve Gangl of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Joseph Paul Gangl of Silver Lake, Paul III, Christopher and Nicole Gangl all of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews including nephew, Mathias Tetzl and his wife, Ilse and niece, Maria Korn and her husband, Gunther of Germany.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 19 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, August. 20, Revs. Keith Johnson and Ryan Honeycutt officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Lifting Hands and Lifting Hearts Fund, 2141 5th St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
