Paul Seikel

TALLMADGE - Paul J. Seikel, 74, died peacefully November 14, 2008 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Seikel was born in Canton and had resided in Tallmadge for the past 3 ? years and in Cuyahoga Falls for 49 years. He was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over 50 years. He had served as Athletic Director for the parish youth teams, was a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Social Concerns, and Parish Council. He also had been a Cub Master and volunteered with the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Peg Seikel and brother, Father Ralph Seikel and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Louise (nee Bertsch); children, Terry Seikel (Gale) of Rochester, MI, Mimi Berghoff (Jeff) of Stow, Mike Seikel (Laura Reitz) of Fremont, OH and Cindy Seikel of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Jackie Ann, Brian, Chris, Cara, Jeffrey, Jackie Marie, Joe and Dan; great-grandson, Landon; sister, Betty Jane Hennessy of Carey, OH and loving extended family.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Father McIntire Fund or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
