CUYAHOGA FALLS - Peter C. Leitch "Pete", 77, passed away, on May 11, 2011 in Tallmadge, Ohio.
Pete grew up in Akron and attended St Mary's School. He served in Korea with the Marine Corps. Pete lived in Reno, Nevada for many years but returned to the Akron area to be with family and to cheer for the Browns.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Wylie, and is survived by his sister, Agnes McGurr, of Huntington Beach, CA, and many nieces and nephews. He was a friend of Bill W.
Calling hours on Wednesday, May 18 from 9 -10 am followed by a brief memorial service at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, 44221. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of Heather Knoll Retirement Community for the wonderful and dedicated care given to Pete. Memorials may be made to the Burn Unit at Akron Children's Hospital, 1 Perkins Sq., Akron, OH 44308. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
