Peter Madonia

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Peter Madonia, 98, passed away April 15, 2021. He was lifelong area resident graduating from North High School. Peter was a WWII veteran serving his country in the Army Air Corp. He worked for Bears Furniture where he met his wife, Shirley. Then went on to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber and eventually became an engineer at Goodyear Aerospace. Peter oversaw the construction for the tracking stations in Greenland and France for the Telstar Satellite System. He also served as a Police Officer for the Silver Lake Police Dept. Peter was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and son Michael; he is survived by his son, Peter A.; sister-in-law, Virginia Haidet; brother-in-law, Bud (Beth) Haidet and many loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday April 23, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd,. Akron OH 44312. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral & Crematory, 330-928-2147.
