CUYAHOGA FALLS -Philip Eugene Craig, "Pa Phil" 80, passed away Sept. 18, 2012. Mr. Craig was born in Akron, graduated from West High in 1950, had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1981, moving here from Hudson Twp. and had previously lived in Stow for 18 years. He had worked for Eastern Electric for 33 years as manager of Customer Service and previously as a salesman, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls senior mixed golf league, loved fishing in Canada and took dancing from Charles Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Craig and mother and step-father, Estelle and W. Byron "Bob" Wynne and daughter, Tracy Hicks and is survived by his wife, of 31 years, Frances I.; daughter, Carla Craig of Hudson; step-children, Gary (Sue) Baker and Michael (Santa) Baker both of Akron; grandchildren, Cory and Aubrey Baker and son-in-law, Denny Hicks of Green.

The family would like to thank Amy, Lisa, Tom and Dan of Hospice of Summa for their exceptional care at home. Also Dr. Skip and all the floor staff on 3 West at Summa Western Reserve Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:30 pm Saturday, Sept. 29 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Chaplain Michael LeMay officiating. Friends may call beginning at 12:00 noon, Sept 29. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St. P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-6153.. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
