Ralph D. Laruccia

Silver Lake – Ralph D. Laruccia, 97, passed away on October 1, 2022. Born in Proctor, VT on February 23, 1925, to Dominick and Palmira Laruccia. Family moved to Queens, NY when Ralph was 2 years old. He grew up in Queens and went into the Army at 18 years of age in 1943. Served in European Theatre and was discharged in 1946. After his discharge, he met and married Priscilla Mancini in 1947. They moved to NY where Ralph worked different jobs until 1954 when he decided to become a police officer. He was in the NYPD for 32 years. After retiring, he moved back to Ohio where Priscilla was from.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Antoinette Virgil, and brother, Dominick. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Priscilla; nieces and nephews, Robert and Judy McGarry, Michael and Beth McGarry in Ohio and Janet Virgil, MaryAnn Beisner and Edward, and John Virgil from NY. He has numerous great-nieces and -nephews.

 There will be a visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3450 Sycamore Drive, Stow, OH 44224, from 10am to 11am on October 11,2022, with a memorial service to follow at 11am.

In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County or Holy Family Church.
