Raymond Salmon

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Raymond Salmon, 89, passed away April 25, 2023. He was born to the late Dale A. and Louise F. Salmon and was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. Ray was a 1953 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School going on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Cuyahoga Falls City School System. He loved woodworking, sports, fishing, had a passion for old cars and was a dedicated family man. Ray was a member of the Oktoberfest Committee, served on the board of property at Redeemer and was an active member of the boy scouts.

Preceded in death by great-grandsons, Colin and Henry; he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mickie; children, Bev Hawley, Kevin (Melissa) and Dennis (Carmen); grandchildren, Christopher, Steven (Maryanna), Andy, Karleen, Bradley (Ariel), Zachary (Danielle), Kelsey (Cameron) and Keeley (Luke); greatgrandchildren, Kymbree, Korie, Lincoln, Eliose, Mila, Addilyn and Blakeley; siblings, Ronald Salmon, Patricia Sink, Marion (Jerry) Gibson, Janet (Rick) Becks and Carole Stofria and many beloved nieces, nephews and many close friends.  

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday April 28, 2023 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday April 29 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 2141 Fifth  St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church and School and the NICU at Akron Children’s Hospital.
