Richard C. Kenna

Richard C. Kenna, age 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Elizabeth Kenna and brothers, Patrick and John Kenna. He attended Akron Central High School and was an Army veteran where he served in the Vietnam Conflict. He worked at H & M Metal Processing Company for over 40 years where he was a supervisor. He was an avid fisherman, fishing with his friend Tom Hill and while hunting in Kentucky with his son Tom, he would visit with Bette (Jack, deceased) Morrow and many friends including Mike Perry.

He has been married over 52 years to Vickie (Sanner) Kenna and he has two sons, Michael (Michael Edwards) and Thomas Kenna. He is also survived by his three sisters, Mercedes (Walter) Whatmough, Margaret (Dale) Briggers, and Elizabeth Gearhart; and his sisters-in-law, Joanne Kenna and Linda (James) Renick; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We would like to thank the following people for all their help they gave us: Mercedes and Walter Whatmough, Elizabeth Gearhart, Margaret and Dale Briggers, Angela Klingfus, Joanne Kenna, and Holly Holland. You will never know how much we appreciate all you did.

Services will take place on Thursday July 14, 2022, at 12pm at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home with Father David Verbsky officiating. Visitation will take place two hours before the service. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio with military honors.
