MUNROE FALLS - Richard W. Neff (Pop), born August 3, 1921 passed away October 2 at his home surrounded by his family. Pop, a WWII veteran retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company in 1982 after 41 years of service.
Preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ann, he leaves to celebrate his memory his sons Rick (Dora), Mike, daughters Marilyn Weber (Chuck) and Peggy, grandchildren Chuck (Rachel), Emily (Isaac), Danny, Tom (Amy), Alan, Annie, Tom Lemmon, Samantha Goza, cousins Joyce Pickering and Florence Neff, and sister-in-law Diane Chappel. He also leaves many wonderful friends and colleagues, in particular the Ohio Bell Pioneers with whom he shared many happy years of volunteer service during his retirement.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 8 from 12:00 to 2:00 at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home at 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Inturnment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to consider a donation to their charity of choice.
