Robert Berie

Robert E. Berie, 71, passed away April 27, 2006.

Born in Freemont, OH, Mr. Berie lived the last 36 years in Cuyahoga Falls. He was a self-employed insurance broker operating Berie Insurance Associates, Inc. for 30 years. Prior to that time he had taught Junior High classes in Clyde, OH and High School classes at Green High. Robert was also a veteran of the armed forces, having served in the Army. He was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.

Mr. Berie is survived by his wife, Roberta; son, Robin and daughter, Laura, both of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchild, Jaren Barnett; sisters, Carol (Dale) Whitt, Barbara (Carl) Pocock, and Nancy (Jack) Rectenwald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 1, at Bethany United Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m., Rev Stephen Gehlert officiating.
