Robert Hall

AKRON - Robert E. Hall, 95, passed away March 8, 2017.

Mr. Hall was born on Jan. 15, 1922 to Opie and Myrtle Hall. Mr. Hall attended Buchtel High School. During his senior year, he participated in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Utah. He spent five years in the U.S. Army (three of them in North Africa and Italy). He worked at B.F. Goodrich for 45 A½ years and for the Akron Board of Education for 14 years.

He married Floriana Berdyck on Dec. 31, 1948. The Halls' five children and spouses are Cindy (Larry) Odom, David (Jean) Hall, Robert (Janice) Hall, Marlene (Donald) Wyzynski and Joyce (Edward) Mitchell. The Halls have nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, with twins due in May. Mr. Hall's hobbies include smoking cigars, Bingo, reading multiple newspapers and socializing with residents and staff at National Church Residences.

Friends may call from 1-2 PM on Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A committal service will be held at 2:30 PM the same day at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Rd., Peninsula, OH 44264. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
