CUYAHOGA FALLS - Robert L. Hostetler, 87, passed away August 21, 2010. Born in Akron, Ohio, he graduated from North High and Akron University with a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He was a veteran of World War II and a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for 56 years. He was employed with Novotny Electric, Goodrich, and Adamson United. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1968 to become a successful business owner. He was a founding member of Bailey Road Christian Church and a lifetime member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Over the last 30 summers, Robert enjoyed boating and fishing with his family at their cottage on Atwood Lake.
Robert is survived by Ruth E. (nee Kesterson), his wife of 65 years; sons David (Karen) of RHE, California, and Robert of Oberlin, Ohio; daughter Karen (Tammy Jirmasek) of Sunbury, Ohio; grandchildren Jacob and Nicole; and sister, Ruth N. of Sunbury, Ohio.
A memorial service for family, neighbors and friends will be held 2PM Friday, August 27th, at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home at 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
