Robert Longfellow

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Robert “Bob” L. Longfellow, 83, passed away February 16, 2021. He was born in Cygnet, OH  to the late Aurelius and Loretta Longfellow. Bob graduated from Athens High School, going on to earn a BA from Findley College and a MA from Bowling Green University. He was a U.S. Marine serving as an embassy guard in Saigon.

Bob worked as a Principal for several school systems notably Otsego High School and retiring from Cardinal High School. He served as President of the Ohio Principals Association, was a member of the Jaycees, enjoyed knitting and socializing with friends.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Butch; he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Rose; sons, Roy (Megan) and Paul; grandchildren, Emily, Molly, Patrick, and Henry Longfellow; brother, Bud; and sister, Beverly Donaldson.

Cremation has taken place and the family will be having private services. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
