Robert “Bruce” McKenzie, 91, went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bruce was born December 16, 1932, to the late C. Sheldon and Irene McKenzie in Cuyahoga Falls, where he grew up and lived for over five decades before moving to Greentown. He was a United States Veteran and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Massey Ferguson, Goodyear Aerospace/Loral/Lockheed Martin for many years before retirement. He married his loving and caring wife Eleanor “Rose” McKenzie in 1987.
Bruce enjoyed attending church at Greentown Church of the Nazarene and he was a lifetime avid listener of WCRF and Moody Radio. He also enjoyed gardening and tinkering with things around the house. He was there to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Bruce cared very much for his family and his family loved him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rose, of 37 years; children, Belinda (Mike) Blank, Doug McKenzie, Cathy (Ken) Smith, Donna (Pat) Stephens, Ed Martin, Michelle (Duane) Klinzing, Mary Glazer; and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
