Robert Owen

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Robert L. Owen, 84, was called to his heavenly home May 7, 2011, to be with his parents Lewis and Mildred and other family members. Mr. Owen was born in Akron and was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls. He worked at Goodyear for most of his career, before retiring from Brennan and Howard. Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 60 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoying golf trips with family and friends to their vacation home in Treasure Lake, PA.

Survived by wife Janet of 61 years; children, Roger (Carla) of Doylestown, Robert of Norton, Lois Ann (William) of Kent and Fritz of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Kelly, Lori, Karli, Mark, Brett, Samantha, Ben, and Christen; step-grandchildren, Joshua and Devon; brother, Roger of Winter Park, FL; sister-in-law, Ann Knepp of Cuyahoga Falls; his nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Tuesday May 10, 2011, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
