Robert Johnson

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Robert "Whitey" Johnson, 79, died September 23, 2005. Mr. Johnson was born in Philippi, WV and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1966, moving here from Diamond, OH. He had worked as a janitor for the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education and had also worked for Oakwood Cemetery. He was a member of Cuyahoga Falls F.O.E., VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 and the I.A.C. and was an avid Indians and Browns Fan and loved playing euchre.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Brunst and grandson, Abraham Johnson and is survived by his son, Thomas Johnson and granddaughter, Maddie Johnson, both of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, June (Frank) Jones of Pierson, FL; son, Robert (Leeann) Johnson Jr. of Vilas, NC; grandchildren, Cindi Veemara, Daniel Brunst, John Johnson, Joseph Jones, Lucas Johnson, Jonathan Johnson and Robert Johnson III; 12 great-grandchildren with two on the way; brother, Kenneth Johnson of Akron; sister Bobbie Elza of Parsons, WV and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Memorial Service will take place immediately following. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross for Katrina victims 501 West Market St. Akron, OH 44303-1898.
