Robert R. Ritchie

Cuyahoga Falls- Robert R. Ritchie, 79, passed away on May 8, 2022. He was born in Ravenna, OH, to the late Frank and Olive Ritchie. Robert cared about his community serving in the Army National Guard and as an Akron Police Officer from 1968 to 1987. He was also a past-president of the Ohio Crime Prevention Association. He also ran the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 7. Robert was also the proprietor of the Village Locksmith Shop in Rittman, OH. He loved to spend time in Canada at his family’s cabin. Where he enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling.

He is preceded in death by his wife Karen of 30 years.

Robert will be missed by his children, James (Sue), Patrick (Jonna), Kelly (Evan); stepson, Steve; grandchildren; Lauren, Kyle, Chase, and Joe; siblings, Linda (Bob), David (Joy); and many other friends and family.

There will be a memorial visitation on Friday, May 13, 2022  from 10am to 12pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, with a memorial service immediately following the visitation.
