Robert Lee Ryan

Stow – Robert Ryan, 93, passed away on February 7, 2022. He was the son of the late Willard and Mary Ryan, and was born on November 23, 1928, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Robert served in the Navy from 1948 to 1952.  Robert was married to the love of his life Barbara for 64 years. Robert worked at the city of Akron for 31 years. During those 31 years Robert started at the bottom and worked his way to Superintendent of the Akron Water Pollution Control Station. Robert didn’t let anything stop him, he always worked hard to better himself and his family. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his friends playing golf, gardening, and traveling to Top Sail Island.

Robert was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Youngs and Patsy Simmons.

He will be missed by his wife, Barbara; children, Dennis (Mina) Ryan, Tim Ryan (Kathy Agosta), Mary Ann (Michael) Phillips; grandchildren, William, Dylan, Samantha, Kyle, Joseph, Daniel, Robert, Alysha; 7 great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.  

In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. 

Cremation has taken place and there will be a family celebration of life at a later date.
