CUYAHOGA FALLS - Robert Thomas Savage, 90, passed away October 22, 2016 peacefully in his sleep. He has gone to Heaven to join his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ann.
He was born in Toronto, OH and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 30 years. Robert graduated from Toronto High School in 1943, going on to earn a BA from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1952. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. Robert worked as a Regional Credit Manager at the General Tire and Rubber Co. retiring after 30 years of service. Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing, biking, hiking, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; he is survived by his daughters, Lucille (Bruce) Wheller, and Claudia (Dan) Castillo; sons, Robert Thomas II (Stacey) and Thomas Hahn (Amber); grandchildren, William Kent II, Jennifer (Maggie) Lovin, M.D., Tyler Bower, Andrea Castillo, Jared Castillo, Sierra Savage, Taylor Savage and Ryan Ranel; and great-grandson, Sebastian Kent.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff of Danbury Woods, Akron General Hospice and Dr. Melodie Phillips for their loving and compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place and the family will be having private services. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
