CUYAHOGA FALLS – Roger Lee Milford (WA8SXL) “ Bop”,90, passed away April 13, 2018. He was a long-time resident of Cuyahoga Falls, served as a sergeant in the Army Air Force in WWII, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, an Amateur Radio operator, a Blood Donor to Summit County Red Cross, major contributor to FindAGrave.com, wherein can be found family history, member of the Cuyahoga Falls High School Alumni Band, and played with the Little Big Band from 1999 to 2009.
Milford family can be traced back to Wales and to the Middle Ages in England.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; daughters Nancy Milford (Ted Bronko), Meg (David) Swicegood; grandchildren, Emily, Tessa (Cody) Hauser; and great grandson, Noah; brother Richard (Madleine) and many loving family members.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2018 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 in the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221. Rev. Paul Beal officiating.
Anyone wishing to attend the committal service may gather at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday to go to Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for an 11 a.m. service.
Memorials may be made to American Red Cross. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
