CUYAHOGA FALLS - Rollin E. Drown, 89, passed away August 4, 2014. He was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. He served on the USS Cowpens CVL25 in the Navy during WWII and owned Drown Floor Sanding Service. He was a member of the Lazy 8 Flight Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his wife of 60+ years, Lily; parents, George and Velma; son, Rod; granddaughter, Laura; brother, Ray; sisters, Grace Teagarden and Rosie Holmes; he is survived by his children; Glenn (Barbara), Denny (Madelyn), George (Tina), Debra (Keith) Hammond; grandchildren, Nicole (Aaron), Brodie (Tina), Chris (Lisa), Scott, Misty, Chelsie, Heather; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Graham, Kendal, Deven, Kristina; sister, Marcine Krumich.
Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, Aug. 7 and 1 hr. prior to an 11:00 am funeral service on Friday, Aug 8 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Paul Beal officiating. The American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 will give military honors. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
