“Together Again”
Ronnie Myers, 88 went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2024. He passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side. Ronnie, born October 25, 1935, was a lifelong resident of Northampton Township, Cuyahoga Falls.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Willis Myers, mother Eva Myers, brother Milton “Spank” Myers and beloved wife of 67 years, Sally Myers.
He is survived by sons Steve and Scott(Leslie) and granddaughters Taylor and Mallory, brother Terry Myers, sister Karen Hartshorn and many other close family and friends.
Ronnie was a devoted husband and father with a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. He was a member at The Chapel at Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio. Ronnie served on The Chapel Board of Trustees.
Ronnie started RG Myers Construction Company at the age of 21, building homes and commercial buildings. He had a passion for restoring historic buildings including Stan Hywet, Western Reserve Academy and Blossom Music Center. He served on the Northampton Township Zoning Board. Ronnie had other diverse business ventures which he continued to manage until his death.
Ronnie never met a stranger. His charismatic personality, infectious smile and firm handshake afforded him many close lifelong friends through his work, church and many hobbies.
The family would like to thank caregiver Chris Maruschak for caring for Ronnie. Chris has become part of our family for which we will be forever indebted.
The Family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at The Chapel at 135 Fir Hill, Akron OH 44304. Also at the Chapel on Wednesday August 14, the family will receive friends at 10am with the funeral to follow at 11am. Both visitation and the funeral will be held in the Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be held at Northampton Cemetery.
Flowers may be delivered to The Chapel at Fir Hill, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304. Memorials may be made to The Chapel.
