Roy Manges

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Roy W. Manges, 95, passed away March 14th, 2009 after a short illness.
Roy was born December 8th, 1913 in Cabell, KY to Frank and Lucy Manges and lived most of his life in Summit Co. He retired as a rubber worker for B.F. Goodrich, was a member of North Springfield Presbyterian Church, and was an alumnus of the Falls Travel Club.

Preceded in death by his first wife of 41 1/2 years, Jeanette, second wife of 28 years "Peg", son Roy R. and son-in-law Edward Schmitt, Roy is survived by daughter Jeanie Schmitt of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter-in-law Betty Manges; stepsons David (Susan) Roeger and Jim (Mary) Roeger; grandchildren Theresa (Pat) Janovick of Ravenna, Stephen (Jenny) Manges of Akron, Monica (Mike) O'Sullivan of Akron, Brian (Marlene) of Toledo, and Michael (Michele) Schmitt of Brunswick; step grandchildren Adam (Julie) Roeger, Jessica (John), and Julianna; 13 great grandchildren; and nephew Bob (Jen) Joiner.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, March 19, at 11:00 am in North Springfield Presbyterian Church, 671 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312, Rev. Janet Lowery officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrance, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693 or the North Springfield Presbyterian Church.
