Roy Roberts

Roy Roberts, 92, passed away on October 25, 2022.  He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on November 4th, 1929.  Roy joined the Army at the age of 16 to fight for his beloved country.  Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart Geraldine and began their 70 year marriage.

Roy was a man of commitment and service.  Roy served in the American Legion holding numerous positions including Chaplain and the Honor Guard.  He was a past Grand Master of the Masons and a volunteer for AARP.  Roy and his wife Geraldine were members of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.  His service also included assisting the neighbors with snow removal and yard work.  He was an employee of Ford Motor Co.

Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife Geraldine, and his youngest son Richard Kelly Roberts.  Roy is survived by his son Steve Roberts and daughter-in-law Kathy Roberts, and his granddaughter Bri Roberts.

Roy is a funny, witty, and honorable man.  He makes those around him smile.  His love has changed many lives and his family will miss him until they see him again at the resurrection of the just with our Lord Jesus Christ.

A private service for family was held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022.
