CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ruben K. "Keke" Johnson, 78, passed away September 23, 2006.
Born in Kurt, WV, Mr. Johnson came to the Cuyahoga Falls area after serving in the Army in the Korean War. He had been a janitor at Cuyahoga Falls High School and a grave digger for the City of Cuyahoga Falls, working at Oakwood Cemetery. He retired with over 28 years service. Mr. Johnson was a very active member of VFW Ralph Huff Post #1062. He loved his family, the Indians and Browns, fishing, pool, and the Lottery.
He is survived by sons, Timothy (Toni) Johnson of Akron, Glenn (Wanda) Lambert of Barberton, Steve (Janet) Belknap of Akron, Ronnie Belknap, and Robert (Betty) Belknap of Green; daughters, Renee (David) Little, Pam Messenger, Debbie (Albert) Albright, all of Akron, and Susan Belknap; sister, Bobbie Elza; and too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count.
Friends may call at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday, September 28, where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 29, at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where VFW Ralph Huff Post #1062 will render Military Honors.
