Ruth Bentley

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ruth Mae Bentley, 87, passed away May 28, 2007.
Mrs. Bentley was born in Cuyahoga Falls and was a 1937 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. She worked as a financial manager for the City of Cuyahoga Falls and moved to Canton in 1990. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed athletics, especially bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and she lived to watch her grandsons play baseball.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; son, James; brothers Neal, Keith and Roland Hunt and sister Elva Brannen; she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Lamont and Joan Bentley of Canton; grandchildren Austin (Alice) Bentley and Nicholas Bentley and sisters, Ann Saladin of Stow, June Smith of Kent, Joan Chaboudy of Florida and Bertha Holcomb of Florida.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 p. m. Saturday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. Final resting place will be Harrington Cemetery. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406 in her memory.
