Ruth Cilo

Cuyahoga Falls - Ruth L. Cilo, 82, passed away at her residence September 20, 2011. She was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 21 years, and previously Stow. She was a graduate of East High School in 1947 and had been involved in Girl Scouts as a troop leader and cookie chairman and had been president of the PTA and a room mom at Fishcreek Elementary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Deborah Blaney and brothers and sisters, Dave, Roberta, Betty and Lou and is survived by her daughter, Linda Burkey of Akron; son-in-law, Wayne Blaney; grandchildren, Laura (John) Shamblin, Kelly (Steve) King, and Amber and Dakota Burkey; great-grandchildren, Noelle, Andrew, Noah and Emma and one on the way.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, Sept. 23 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Sat. Sept. 24, Mark Brazle officiating. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
