Ruth HInkel

MISSION, TX - Ruth M. Hinkel, born May 2, 1930 in Parma, Ohio went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2010.
She was raised in Medina, Ohio. After graduating from Medina High School, she spent 4 years as a Legal Secretary during WWII. She then took time out to raise 5 children and when they started school, she went to work for Cuyahoga Falls School System where she worked for 9 years. After they retired she and her husband began spending winters in El Valle del Sol park around 1995 and moved there full time in 2006.
She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Paul's Catholic Church and was a previous member of St. Joseph's Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert W. Hinkel, son Thomas A. Hinkel and wife Eileen of PA, daughter Marcia A. Cramer of AK, son Timothy J. Hinkel and wife Elizabeth of OH, daughter Roberta Hinkel-Belair and husband Stephen of CT, daughter Barbara H. Heath and husband Bruce of OH, sister Margaret L. Doyle and husband David of TX, 10 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Ruth Minto and sister Bim Shelker and husband Raymond.

Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday May 25 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 26 at St. Joseph Church, 1761 Second St, Cuyahoga Falls. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
