Ruth Eileen Zimmerman, age 79, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born July 5, 1930 in Salem, OH to the late Clarence Votaw and Lucille King Votaw. She was a homemaker and attended First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA.
Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by her husband, William Zimmerman of Gainesville, her sons and daughter-in-laws, Lonnie and Kathleen Zimmerman of Gainesville, Jeff and Claudia Zimmerman of Oviedo, FL and Scott and Linda Zimmerman of Vacaville, CA, six grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Michael, Lauren, Kyle and Taylor and one great grandchild, Zephyn.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 5, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Akron, 263 E. Mill St., Akron, OH 44308. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. A graveside service will immediately follow the church service at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Mauseleum, 4441 State Rd., Peninsula, OH. In lieu of other remembrances, donations can be made to your local American Heart Association.
