Sadie Elizabeth (Waters) Horner

Sadie peacefully left this world on March 4, 2021, going home to be with her Lord in Heaven and to join her beloved husband Joe. Born in Akron, Ohio May 29, 1938, she lived in Akron until 1961, and then moved with Joe to Cuyahoga Falls. They were married 44 years when her husband passed away on Nov. 25, 2002.

Preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Jeanine; brothers, Bill, Bob and Charlie; Sadie is survived by her sons, Mark Horner, Joe Jr, Matt (Kayla); and step-son, David (Dana) Horner; grandchildren, Derrick, Dawn, Damon, Rachel, Jon, David, Jessica, Kenneth, Mark Jr. April and Victoria; numerous great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; also leaves dear brother, Harry. Some of Moms’ highlights, were when Charley taught her to drive 2 years ago-she got her license thanks to God and her brother. Another was being around for my grandkids whenever they needed me-going to Chapel Hill Mall with Jessica and her school activities, going to the kids’ baseball games with Joe-and going to CO to Matt and Kayla’s wedding in July 06. Sadie had numerous fur babies and loved each and everyone the same.

She loved her family more than they will ever know and was very active in her former church, Trinity Methodist Church until it was sold in 2007. Then she and the group from Trinity started going to Tallmadge Methodist Church-they were all taken in as members a few months later.

She also volunteered at Open M when she could and put together the famous Trinity Flea Market concession stand-she was always doing something-or ready to help anyone that needed her-if she could-she prayed every day for her family, friends, and co-workers.

Friends may call one hour prior to an 11 AM funeral service on Wednesday March10, 2021 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
