Sadie Welch

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Sadie M. Welch, 89, passed away August 3, 2005.

Mrs. Welch was born in Tomahawk, KY and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for over 58 years. She was a public school teacher for 31 years, the last 20 of which she taught in the Stow Public School System. She was a member of the National Teachers Assoc., Life member of the State Teachers Assoc., and the Summit County Retired Teachers Assoc. and an honorary life member of Ohio Congress of Parents and Teachers Assoc. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cuyahoga Falls.

She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Sr., two children, Phyllis Ann (David) Felts of Rochester, PA. and C. William Jr. (Joyce) of Renton, WA; seven grandchildren, Heather (Heath) Tutwiler, David G. Felts, Bethany J. Felts, Taylor J. Welch, Tucker B. Welch, Kasey M. Welch and Tyler N. Welch; three great-grandchildren, Kindred A. Tutwiler, Kayleigh E. Tutwiler and Kami E. Tutwiler; three brothers, Edward (Charlene) Mills of Kingman, AZ, Richard E. Mills of Grand Rapids, MI, and Otto G. Mills of Tomahawk, KY.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon August 7, 2005 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. J. Ross Slaughter officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to Echo Hills Elementary School Library, 4405 Stow Rd., Stow, OH 44224 or the United Presbyterian Church in her memory.
