Sara Hockett

TALLMADGE - Sara E. Hockett, 81, died at her residence March 21, 2010. Mrs. Hockett was born in Findlay, OH, was a long time resident of Tallmadge and had worked as a medical technologist at St. Thomas Medical Center. She was a fifty-six year member of Grandview United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, and a sixty year member of Falls Chapter #245, Order of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in 1984 and as organist for ten years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Goldie Caldwell, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles; daughters, Ruth (Fred) Patterson of Stow and Nancy (Brock) Wildman; son, Jim (Theresa), both of San Diego, CA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Falls Chapter #245 will conduct an Eastern Star service at the beginning of a Memorial Service at 10:00 am Thursday March 25 in Grandview United Methodist Church, 2315 Phelps Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Rev. James McKenzie officiating. Friends may call beginning at 9:00 am Thursday at Church. Final resting place Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Grandview United Methodist Church in her memory. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
