Shirley Rae Asher

Shirley R. (Coven) Asher of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, born August 23, 1927, passed away on August 14, 2024, after a brief illness. Shirley was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls for over 60 years. She was a Speech Therapist at Cuyahoga Falls Schools for over 20 years; a member and past State President of Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority; 75-year member of Falls OES where she served as Treasurer, Chaplain, and Worthy Matron.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dewitt Asher Jr., and her daughter, Becky R. Asher. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Crocker-Paridon of Tyrone, Georgia, along with her husband, Anthony Paridon; her 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

A private ceremony for the immediate family will be at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and interment at Northlawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life to be announced at a future date.

 In lieu of other remembrances, memorials to the Falls Cancer Society or Akron General Hospice, will be appreciated.
