Shirley Davis

RAVENNA -Shirley Jean Davis (Lawson) nee Taylor, 75, passed away April 21, 2005. Mrs. Davis was born in Akron and had resided in Ravenna for 21 years, moving there from Cuyahoga Falls, having graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1947. She had worked for the Ravenna City School District for 16 years and previously as an operator for Ohio Bell. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and loved camping, fishing, sewing, crocheting and puzzles.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John Thomas and Ann Lawson of Tallmadge and Jerry Lee and Cheryl Lawson of Rootstown; grandchildren, Eric Christopher Lawson of TN, Brian Michael Lawson of Uniontown, Lee Thomas Lawson serving with the Air Force and Tiffany Ann Ball of Kent; great-grandson, Jonathan Lawson and sister, Phyllis Henry of Hudson and special friend, James Braun.

Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday in St. John's Episcopal Church 2220 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, The Rev. Allen Belton officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
