Shirley Miller

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Shirley Miller, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her friends and family on Tuesday May 17, 2016. After her retirement from St. Thomas Hospital she joined the Senior Strutters Dance Group which brought her a great deal of pleasure. Shirley loved dancing since she was a child and was also a talented painter.

Shirley got a great deal of happiness from her many animals especially her Ferrets.
She would take in the tiniest injured or abandoned animal of any kind and nurse it back to health.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Curtis; she is survived by her children, Scott (Cathy), Tammy (Charles) Garner and Amy (Chad) Kisner; grandchildren, Christine (Kyle) Sarich, Curtis and Nicky Miller and Jenna Kisner; brother, John (Robin) Forney; sisters, Sue Gregory, Ann (Paul)Thomas; nephews, Lancer (Ethan) Forney-McMahon, Robert and Jason Forney.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Thursday May 19, 2016 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday May 20 at Oakwood Cemetery 2420 Oakwood Dr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the One of a Kind Pet Rescue, 1929 W Market St. Akron, OH, 44313. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
