CUYAHOGA FALLS - Siegfried Klemens passed away on October 31, 2017.
He was born and orphaned in Germany and came to the US in 1951. He was adopted at age 15 by Felix and Katherine Klemens. Ziggy worked in the grocery store business as a member of UFCW Local 880 retiring after 40 years of service.
Fishing was his favorite hobby. He was a member of the Akron Outboard Assn. and enjoyed racing his boat the "Red Baron". Ziggy participated in wheelchair sports and was a member of the U.S. Paralympic Team competing nationally and internationally in long bow archery, doing it all from a wheelchair since he contracted polio as a child in Germany.
