CUYAHOGA FALLS - Stephen J. Sampson, 90, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2016.
A resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 1955, John was an enlisted/decorated U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, retired from Firestone after 38 years, also an avid golfer with 3 hole in ones.
John was preceded in death by wife Janet Sampson, parents John and Nell Sampson, sister Joan, brother William and niece Alana. He is survived by his loved and devoted partner Jane, his only son Scott J, nephews Mark Bower, Bill Sampson and niece Leslie Bumgarner.
All services will be private.
In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
