CUYAHOGA FALLS - Sue Brand 63, passed away July 16, 2016 due to complications of Huntington's Disease. She fought this disease with quiet dignity for approximately fifteen years. In the end she chose hospice and seek her eternal home rather than to continue the fight with this devastating disease.
Sue was born in Oakland, Maryland on February 4, 1953 to Guy and Jean (Wolfe) Jackson. She grew up in Rowlesburg, WV and graduated from Rowlesburg High School in 1971. She graduated from West Virginia Career College in Fairmont WV in 1972. Sue was a 25 year employee of Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital, working in the X-Ray department as an office supervisor and was a member of Northampton Bible Church for 33 years.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack. Both Jean and Jack died of HD. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Douglas, son, Daniel and his wife Greta; daughter Sarah Rosenberg and her husband Jeramy; grandchildren Rebecca Rosenberg and Jaxson Brand; brothers, Keith Jackson, Clyde Reneman and Robert Jackson and best friend Margie Brunner.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Pastor John DeMund officiating. Sue's last request was to be buried beside her mother in Eglon Cemetery, Eglon, West Virginia. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the HDSA Center of Excellence, 9500 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44195. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
