Susan Hegnauer

CUYAHOGA FALLS Susan Jane Hegnauer, age 66, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Akron City Hospital.

Sue was born on December 30, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Raymond and Dorothy Gettins. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sue most loved being a mother and grandmother; she was known as the "Neighborhood Mom". She was also a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

Besides her parents, her beloved son Edward Raymond precedes her in death. She is survived by her husband Edward Charles Hegnauer; daughter Amanda (Keith)Houchin of Raleigh, North Carolina; son John (Sarah) Hegnauer of Munroe Falls, Ohio; and grandson Henry. She also leaves a sister, Dorothy Hill and brother, Thomas Gettins.

Calling hours will be held at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11am. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery.
