Terrance McHugh

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Terrance M. McHugh was God's gift to the family when he was born on January 16, 1944, and was his family's gift to God when he passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2017 at the age of 73.

He was born in Wintersville, OH and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for about 60 years. Terry attended St. Joe's for 8 years with perfect attendance, going on to attend Cuyahoga Falls High School. He worked as a truck driver for Ecker's Meats, Holub Iron and Steel and then Alco Chemical and lastly part time for McCready's Tire and Auto. Terry was on golf leagues, softball teams and enjoyed working on his 1963 Ford Galaxy 500. He loved spending time with his family which included attending both his grandson's baseball games. Terry was a life-time member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles (Cuyahoga Falls).

Preceded in death by his father, Terrance N. McHugh; mother, Mary A. Kuhns; and first wife, Kathy J. McHugh. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine (Dirker); children, Michael, Terri Lyn (Terry) Hofmann, Daniel (Pam), Shawn, Dawn (Jerald) Davis, Shannon (Mark) Barbernitz and Courtney McHugh; grandchildren, Matthew Rardin, Kyle McHugh, Connor and Garrett McHugh, Jalen and Braylon Davis; great-grandchildren, Julie, Collin and Angelina; siblings, Sondra (Gary) Springer, John Kuhns and Deborah Kuhns and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday October 18, 2017 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday October 19. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Summit County DD 89 E. Howe Rd. Tallmadge, OH 44278 or One of a Kind Pets, 1129 West Market St. Akron, OH 44313. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
