Thelma Smith

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Thelma W. Smith, 82, passed away March 6, 2014. Thelma was born in Miami, FL and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, the Yusef Khan Caldron and the Falls Silhouettes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Ivan; parents, George C. and Ruth Watkins; daughter-in-law, Sjaan Smith; sisters, Ruby and Alva; brother, George and is survived by her children, George Ivan of Elkton, VA, Pam D. (David J.) Casteel and Francis "Smitty" (Linda R.) of Cuyahoga Falls; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday March 13th and 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, March 14th in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday March 15, Dr. David Baker will be officiating. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The Daughters of Mokanna will hold a service at 7:00 pm on Thursday March 13th. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home & Crematory, 330-928-2147.
