CUYAHOGA FALLS -Thomas Carano, 87, died July 5, 2011. Mr. Carano was born in Krebs, OK and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1950, moving here from Akron. He retired in 1980 as a rubber worker for B. F. Goodrich Co. and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army. He was a life member of the VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 and the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 and a member of Cuyahoga Falls Eagles 2207.

Preceded in death by her wife, Phyllis O., brother, Joseph and sister, Helen Pagano, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Pat of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Tommy Carano and Cherie (Roger) Evans and great-grandchildren, Branden and Brooke Evans.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, July 7 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, July 8, Rev. Steve Bucy officiating. Friends may also call for one hour prior to service time. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. VFW Ralph Huff Post 1062 will conduct military honors. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Hairy Cell Leukemia Research Foundation, Inc, 790 Estate Dr. Suite 180, Deerfield, IL 60015.
