Thomas Froelich, Sr

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Thomas E. Froelich, Sr., passed away August 5, 2005, after a valiant fight for life, with his loving family at his side. He died five years after receiving a kidney transplant of which his loving daughter, Christine was the donor. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War in Germany. He retired from a sales career, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls, Joppa Lodge 517 F&AM, a 32nd Degree Mason and was formerly active in Toastmasters. He was an avid boater and inventor holding multiple patents and worked with experimental aircrafts.

Mr. Froelich was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Shackelford and brothers, Donald and William Froelich. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan W.; his children, Joyce (Michael) Nelson of Prescott, AZ, John Froelich of Westlake, Thomas E. (Sandra) Froelich, Jr. of Cuyahoga Falls, Catherine Vance of Wise, VA, Christine (Bradley) Scheible of Stow, and Patricia Tisch (Dennis Vickers) of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Lisa, Corey, Melissa, J.C., Adam, Justin, Scott, Thomas III, Kaitlynn, Heidi, Eugene, David, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Jadan, Sarah, Carter and Jackson; sister, Virginia Foley of Richardson, TX and brother, Robert (Margaret) Froelich of Decatur, GA.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 pm Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a memorial service will be Conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, Rev. Paul Beal officiating. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery.
