Thomas Reese

Thomas L. Reese, 70, of Cuyahoga, Falls, passed away peacefully after years of declining health on June 26, 2021. Mr. Reese joined his loving wife of 40 years in their final resting place in Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Tom was born on October 5, 1950, in Akron, and graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1968. He retired from the University of Akron after 30 years of employment. He has resided in Cuyahoga Falls for many years. He loved his retirement years at the family boat and home on Lake Erie. Before declining health, Tom was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Ginger in 2009; parents, Robert and Marie Reese; Ginger’s parents, Richard and Audrey Turner; and brother-in -law and his wife, Robert and Cynthia Turner.

He is survived by sister, Theresa (John) Davidsaver of Cuyahoga Falls, and sister-in-law, Ruth (Dana) Jackson; nieces, Heather and Holly of Kentucky. Survived by Turner family nephews, Robert (January), Thomas (Lindsey), all of Florida. He was also survived by Davidsaver nephews, Mark (Kim) of North Canton, and Matthew (Sarah), of Florida and all of their children who live all over the U.S.A.

The family also wishes to thank neighbors, Bob and Tina Rumph for their friendship and all of the meals they cooked and delivered to Tom over the past couple of years. He was a member of many clubs and organizations including, the Eagles, VFW, and IAC in Cuyahoga Falls.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial with his beloved Ginger.  Arrangements entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
